Northern Ireland's First Minister Opens Sepha's New Premises

Local manufacturing company Sepha Ltd has doubled its output capability with a move to new premises. The expansion is in response to increased export demand for its innovative packaging equipment. First Minister Rt Hon Peter D. Robinson MP MLA opened the new premises at Carrowreagh Business Park in Dundonald where the machines are assembled. The company's order book is full until next year with orders from many major pharmaceutical companies including UCB and Boots plc. who use Sepha machines to remove tablets and capsules from blister packs as well as manufacturing and testing of finished product.
Opening the new premises, Mr Robinson said: "Sepha is a good example of how local businesses can buffer themselves against economic turbulence. The company has created a high quality and innovative product line which is attractive to the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. As a result it has been able to attract additional investment, including local private equity and Invest NI support, which will help fuel their next phase of growth."
To co-incide with the expansion Sepha is also updating its corporate identity to match its industry leadership position. The new eye-catching red motif is aimed at giving the company 'stand-out' appeal at forthcoming trade shows in India and the USA. In addition, their website has also been given a complete overhaul. In line with its local sourcing policy, Sepha has worked with creative-IT companies here on the major rebranding which will include a redesign of the machines themselves, to be rolled out in the coming months.
Chief Executive Aubrey Sayers explained: "With the move to a larger production facility, hiring of additional staff and our re-branding Sepha is in an excellent position to take full advantage of current market opportunities."
