Press-Out Universal
State-of-the-art, automatic deblistering machine for all types of blister packs
Press-Out Universal empties tablets and capsules from reject blister packs at a rate of up to 50 blisters per minute.
It handles medium to large batches of all types of blister formats and designs including:
- Push-through blisters
- Child-resistant
- Heavy gauge alu/alu
- Paper-backed blisters
- Linear formats
- Multi-product blisters
This machine is gentle, even on fragile tablets and capsules, making them ideal for your most valuable products.
The Press-Out Universal is perfect for using in:
Automated pharmacy dispensing
Deblister tablets or capsules from bulk-supplied blisters and refill cartridges from automated dispensing systems.
Clinical trials in laboratories
Deblister valuable clinical trial drugs from unused packs.
Quality control testing
Testing packaging material characteristics
Pharmaceutical production and packaging facilities
Empty finished blisters which have been rejected from the packaging line because of empty pockets, poor seals, incorrect batch coding etc. The good product can then be re-packaged to increase yield and reduce wastage costs.
Pharmaceutical distribution & inventory management
The same drugs are often supplied to different countries in blisters of different formats with the foil printed in local languages. Manage fluctuating market demands by deblistering surplus stocks of finished blister packs and re-packaging the contents in formats to suit the needs of other markets.
Deblisters child-resistant blisters
- Suitable for all types of blister pack including curved formats, peelable and heavy gauge alu/alu products
Fast, automatic operation
- Up to 50 blister per minute with automatic feed
Prevent product damage to fragile or valuable products
- Very gentle operation – partially cuts the foil around pockets before pressing-out, which minimises pressure on fragile or valuable products
Prevent foil contamination
- Foil remains attached to the waste blister pack during emptying
- Waste blisters and recovered product are collected separately
No more painful fingers or RSI
- Improve Health & Safety by protecting staff from blisters on their fingers, Repetitive Strain Injury or Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
- Improve morale as staff no longer need to do such a mundane task by hand.
More hygienic than manual emptying
- Constructed in stainless steel and designed to cGMP standards for easy cleaning.
- Recovered product does not need to be handled by operators.
Machine Operation
- Blisterpacks are fed automatically from the magazine stack to a cutting station.
- A partial cut is made in the lidding material around the base of each blister pocket.
- The tablets or capsules are gently eased out of the blisters and collected separately from the waste packaging.
- The mechanism is designed for jam-free operation.
Tooling
Custom tooling is supplied for each different pack size. Changeover takes about 5 minutes.
